I've never seen a man more after my own heart. Cameras, diy woodworking, paint markers, function over form. Your really remind me of some kind of Adam Savage from the videography dimension.

I love the Petzval curvature that you got from using the magnifying glass. Lenses with that dreamy blurred edges from the curved focal plane look really interesting with a subject in the center

I love how you combine different fields of interest (in this case photo-/cinematography and making stuff) to produce these very interesting and unique videos. It's a whole vibe and a fun watch, even for someone like me who's got little to no knowledge on cameras and lenses. Do you plan on making videos about your musicking as well? I'd find that very interesting because I myself make music in my one room flat and I always love to see what quirky little hacks people come up with to make everything work for them.

Hell yeah, another wacky camera mod. I love the dreamy/ tired feel it gives off, kind of like rubbing your eye and then trying to focus on something. It's very useful to see your photography skills in action with all these different lenses and cameras, it helps me better my understanding of composition and setting, so thanks a lot for these! Keep tinkering my man.

I came across your channel late this winter and have enjoyed watching and listening to you take on your projects. I am a maker of things as well but mainly run a small leather goods company with my wife out of our basement workshop. Thanks for the jolts of inspiration you provide with your uploads.

I think I first found your channel by way of one of the lens-/camera-related videos. I really enjoyed this one, both the build and the technical detail! I've also played around with the idea of making some sort of adapter myself, so it was great to see it done, especially with so few tools!

This is awesome work dude. Speedboosters normally cost more than many of the budget f1.8 lens on M43, making their purchase pointless, however it'd be cool if there were more affordable dumb versions out there in order to mount now fairly affordable EF L glass. Tho the difficulty with changing apertures is a real sticking point.

So cool! I've been wondering if it's possible to make a DIY speedbooster that mounts inside the camera rather than an adapter. Like the Magic Booster for Blackmagic cameras by Lucadapters, but I'm thinking for EF-mount cinema cameras instead.

Vintage lenses are great for dumb adapters. Not only for aperture control but also because the lens was built to be used manually so in theory should be a little better manual handling. I've got a bunch of random simple lenses sitting around. From a cardboard VR headset and from a small telescope that I'd like to build a housing to adapt to my camera because why not?
