Работы кузнеца тут практически НЕТ!!! Смотри, он только пилит и пилит. В средние века сталь дороже серебра. Сталь это качественный сплав, просто железо ломкое и в оружие не годится. От этого и высокая цена. Наждак и напильник на самый крайний случай. Молот, молотки и наковальня!!! Вот как работает кузнец. А пилить, строгать да лишнее отрезать каждый дурак умеет... Такая "работа" ни чего не стоит, а попросит много, он же "кузнец". Умеешь правильно оценить работу, сумеешь дать правильную цену!

As neat as it is, you just made the shuriken unbalanced by adding that brass coin to the side. If looks are your goal that is one thing, but you just made it ineffective from even shorter ranges. Either way, I do love your idea. Great job making fun toys out of scrap metal.

Maybe you are right but the main goal here was to try a few new things and make it look cool. Most likely I'll toss it a few times at my barn's door and I'll leave it in my drawer. Or I'll lose it in the high grass in my yard :D Maybe in future I'll make a few more simple ones to practice throwing them for fun.

The idea behind forging is that you also forge the bevel, this adds strength and is more historically accurate. Back in the day removing material with files and co wasn't really done that much. Most of it was forged. (As far as I am aware) But cool video

Beautifully done. The realism with the inlay not so much, but tht made it beautiful. My personal theory is that they cut metal cost when they could and since those weren’t lethal weapons and only meant to injure the core was saved for cost. I don’t know if this is true. I do know that blacksmiths in Europe would pull from their own pockets to keep from going over budget on an order of nails. Scraps count when u have no budget
