*This is my second WEN tool and they are both great **MyBest.Tools** I needed to do some trim work around the house and needed a scroll saw for the intricate work. No complaints so far.*

I just bought my first "scroll saw" its actually the Dremel Moto saw. I make name signs just like yours but have always used vinyl and hand paint a design below. This video and your work is AWESOME!! Was reading through all of the comments and I just need to say its cool you respond to everyone even if its the same question multiple times. You should make more videos, great job!!!

just amazing work. just a few questions. how do you paint the letters? What wood did you use for the circle? This has been very helpful:)
@nvwoodco4 жыл бұрын
Thank you! The circle is 3/4 birch plywood from home depot And for the paint I just used rustoleum spray paint followed with a flat clear coat over the entire piece. 👌

NVwood Co thank you! We were going to make a homemade protractor out of a 1x3 and a router but this looks so much easier!

No problem! I did that same technique for a while too, You get a decent router bit and a drill bit also with the kit, its worth the money and the convenience

nice work, how was the stencil attached to the wood, as it peeled off so easily?
@nvwoodco3 жыл бұрын
Thanks my man, when im not being lazy ill stick some clear contact paper on the wood first before the stencil.

Is that a spiral blade you are using? Ive had a hard time finding any locally. I really want to work on more intricate projects like this! If you could share the details on the blade that would be awesome. Thanks! And great work btw! 👍
@nvwoodco4 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I use Olsen PGT blades and I order them off Amazon. The double skip reverse tooth blades are my favorite so far. I dont use spirals often. They leave a rough cut and its hard to cut a straight line.

hello! what is the tool guide you use to measure the circle before you use the milescraft circle guide. if you are using a jig saw for the letter what blade do you recommend? Thanks
@nvwoodco3 жыл бұрын
Hey, that tool guide was just a big compass. Basically a dowel rod with a nail through it, and a pencil on the other end. It would be tough with a jigsaw but doable, I'd recommend the diablo reverse tooth blades though. Any blade with alot of fine teeth so it will cut clean as possible.
@brittneybrown9644 жыл бұрын
So nice !! what material did you use for the small letters ?
@nvwoodco4 жыл бұрын
Thanks, I used 1/2 inch MDF for 'Noel' 1/4 inch birch plywood for the letters and 3/4 birch for the circle

Why not use MDF or ply for all of it? Why use two different kinds of timber products?

How do you keep the plywood from chipping? Maybe i need finer blades? My blades have a pin on each end is it better to have a saw without pinned blades? Great work!! Definitely subscribed
@nvwoodco Жыл бұрын
Definitely get some finer tooth blades it should help with your issue. I use pinless blades since pinned can't be made as thin. I also always run my speed full blast! Feel free to message me on instagram if you're still having trouble and thanks alot, really appreciated it!

@@nvwoodco even if it’s about an inch thick?? My father in law brought me some scraps from his job to practice on I believe it’s pine wood I’m still trying to figure the blades out too I thought the more teeth the better the cut just slower but I also read if it’s thicker your teeth need to be wider apart
@nvwoodco3 жыл бұрын
1 inch thick will bounce more then anything else. Try some 1/2 birch plywood or 1/2 mdf. Also go to my instagram page. Nvwoodco and see all that can be made. Feel free to message me on there and I'll help you out.
