This was EXTREMELY helpful and inspiring for me to make maskes, cast bronze and even make youtube videos, id love to do things like this too!

I love the fact you left it raw and unpolished. It gives it a more organic look, very nice.

The quality of the finished product is inferior than if he just hammered it out. And that would have taken five to ten minutes instead of an hour of messing around, heaps of energy to heat it, heaps of pollution and wasted time. You use casting when you want fine detail high quality products. His product is very low raw pour quality.

Nice job! Reminds me of the Phantom of the Opera's Red Death mask. Could you please share also who did the music? Loving that middle eastern thing in there, yowzah.

o wow, awesome work. Never thought there is so many steps to correctly cast something.

+jurandfantom Hey, thanks! As you get experienced the steps all blend together and it doesn't seem like so much

Awesome! I need to make a face mask, similar to that one, but thinner and covers my nose, all around my forehead. Could I use this process to do it? If you need photos lmk
@bashkillszombies4 жыл бұрын
No. You cannot cast noses in bronze. It's forbidden.

Did you add the plaster strips when the silicone was cured or still drying? many thanks!
@KaiCrafted6 жыл бұрын
William Thresh I waited until the silicone had cured, but you can apply it pretty much as soon as the rubber stops being sticky

I believe he's referring to the way the cone makes the dog look like the Pixar lamp. ;)

For something so low quality in it's shape you could have just pressed that yourself or hammered it to a superior an equal yet faster, cheaper, lower energy wasting and polluting finish.
@KaiCrafted4 жыл бұрын
It wouldn't have been an exact copy. The point of the project is mold making and casting, it's not meant to be the cheapest way to achieve something vaguely similar. Definitely appreciate the negativity though 👍
