I don't know if you'll see this but thank you for this simple,yet elegant, pattern. I like to also share my method of glueing larger areas. I use an old gift/ credit cardn cut the edge with pinking shears and ude that to spread the glue,works great for me. I also lined the back of the card slots to ensure the cards won't catch on any of the worn bank notes. I really enjoy your videos, thank you.

I thought you guys were some struggling leathercrafters from the Philippines until I saw that DTG printer...I can't even afford that.
@oanhieu50574 жыл бұрын
just my opinion, u should hammer your thread and use edge creaser to make a crease along the edge. it flatten your sewwing and make the edge look nicer. Anw, great wallet, very clean.

I acknowledge that many crafters are greater than what I do - and there are vast techniques. But to me there's no right or wrong in crafting as long you get to enjoy it and finish it - it all boils down what style you settle with. Personally not a crease guy, but I have nothing against it too.

You left the paper bill there in the middle to hide the wrinkles on the lining right? :P I found that to avoid it, you can leave the very thin line of where the wallet folds without glue, if everything around it is with glued, and only that tiny line at the fold is not glued, it will still remain close and tight to the leather, but since it is not directly held by the leather at the folding line, it will not wrinkle when you fold or unfold it.
@Handles-R-Lame2 жыл бұрын
I disagree that's not how you should do fabric lining neither. You do exactly what he showed in the film, except for the drying part. You use a form to keep the wallet in a folded position while the glue dries. This way the wallets lining is dried already folded which makes for no crease. Make sure all air bubbles are smoothed thoroughly before letting it dry too. It's the best way in general to do fabric lining.

DTG printer is expensive. Good for who does commercial Printing. Looks great. It was great if each side had at least 2(3)slots. what kind of cloth used for Printing. You have good pricking Iron, but the stitching little bit not perfect on the coverside. If the last stitch comes out down the loop, not over the loop(as you did), it looks great with angle.

For this particular design I wanted to show the dtg print for the wallet. For other bifolds I have those covered in other videos 🙂
@FUBARguy1073 жыл бұрын
Alright. No one else noticed it. The pattern for the liner is the same as the carpet from the hotel in The Shining.
@davidjrazeghi32484 жыл бұрын
This is beautiful! What kind of fabric did you use for the lining? And what kind of glue did you use for it as well. I want to try this but I'm afraid that the glue will go through the fabric and look weird (wet and hard) if I use the wrong type of fabric or glue. Thank you!
@roseleathercraftsph4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! with DTG printing it can only print on 100% cotton fabric. Other fabrics will work too as a lining. For this wallet I only use my water based adhesive for leather hope this helps!
