Just now got around to watching this one...nice to see how easily the titanium machined on the mini-lathe. It has such a reputation for being difficult.

I was surprised by the sound of that emergency siren. Via the TV/movies,, I'm conditioned to expect a different sounding siren from you guys. Double-Oh-Seven has the proper sounding siren for you folks :) I'm impressed by your Chinese Mini Lathe Good cutting. Very Good cutting! Thanx for showing it manhandling titanium

hello steve the blue nano inserts did a great job it seemed to get a better finish when you took a heavier cut. very nice rings you left us hanging lol i really wanted to see the nice shine the ring would have had after putting it on the buffing wheel. oh well no biggy maby you can show us on the next video.thanks steve.

That looked great, I wonder if you could use the indexer you made (what feels like ages ago) to add some kind of feature to the ring. Like regular notches for example?

Great work, nice video. The drills I've already got! Have to check if I've got a tool for the Blue Nano inserts. Titanium is hard to cut, as I've seen on KZbin. Maybe You could launch a video telling more about how to cut titanium in general? OD, RPM, depth of cut and so on? I'll try using mild steel, being a beginner in this business.

I'm trying to figure out a way to expand the rim of a shelled out coin using my mini lathe and similar technique to the use of an expanding mandrel. Its used in magic tricks! Any suggestions on how to do this?

Thanks Steve, it's sure been nice to see the results and uses for that mandrel you made. Both videos of its use has been very rewarding. I can definitely see making one in the future. Dale in Canada PS I hope you stayed high and dry in all that rain we were watching over there. Well maybe not high as I know you live on a flood plain but at least dry.

Hi Dale thanks. Fortunately we have missed the floods so far. Our river is a tidal type so the flooding usually poses a threat if heavy rain coincides with a very high tide. So far it has been ok even though we have had a few flood warnings. Regards Steve
