Refreshingly honest and incredibly moving, Ang Swee Chai brought the entire audience to their feet and even some to tears. No description can do justice to her work . With this talk only conveying a fraction of the impact she has had on people’s lives, she draws upon experiences from everyday work in hospitals, as well as her time in Palestine, to emphasise the impact of a ‘small’ difference.
Event Summary- On December 6th 2013, the first university in the UK to admit men and women on equal merit, University College London (UCL) hosted its first ever TEDxWomen event. www.tedxuclwomen.com
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

The smallest member of the medical class and yet the biggest achiever of the whole medical school. Never fail to amaze me the ' The Energizer Bunny' that never stop working,in this case ,for humanity. A shinny example !!!!!

Oh man (or Woman) ...... I recall Ms Ang questioning me on a knee examination for my medical finals back in 2001...! Needless to say I passed. Later she treated my dislocated finger and in all that time i never knew the brave and fantastic work that she did. Funny you know more about what goes on in the sex lives of consultants but here you have an inspirational Doctor and i knew nothing of it! Thank you for your inspiration and hard work and whilst this may be directed towards our female audience, i am sure us men can learn a lot as well!
