Next time, maybe use the laser to cut a proper wax stamp out of tin sheet or plasticard or something that won't stick to the wax, then do a big melt with a bigger pot than what comes in the kit, if you pour and press that along with the paper on something like a varnished piece of wood, that should come off and have the "proper" melted wax edges look

Or, doing it as an inverse, cut your seal as you want it to appear as a positive -- i.e, so that you have the cut-out image as you want the seal to appear -- then build a box around it and pour in silicone mold material and let it cure, then pop it out and remove the seal master, leaving a cavity in the shape of the seal you intend to make. Then you can wrap the mold in a box if you're worried about it distorting, brush the cavity with mold release, and pour in your melted wax to fill the cavity, and let it cool, after which you should be able to bend the mold to release from the seal. Once you've made your mold, you would be able to pour as many wax seals as you want.

I'm thinking that instead of the tiny little wax packets that came with your kit, you should probably go to a craft store, and buy some candle making wax.

@@brionl4741 I thought about that but now I’m going to oven bake them, one of these small packets is some how the EXACT amount that fills the mold I made. So I can just empty a packet in to the mold and bake 🙂

My wife has been making candles, and she just uses cheapo white candles from the supermarket and adds some coloured candle-wax or pigment to them. The melting is done with an old saucepan from the thrift shop. The irridescent red looks awesome, and I love the slot for the parchment too! And the callback to primary school art class when we made "pirate treasure maps" and aged the paper exactly the same way :D

Aside of the heresy of that "thing" that isn't coffee, very cool idea and way to use a sponsor for a creative work. Doesn't the stamping tool need to be hot too when you press it in the wax ? I'll be sure to watch your next idea but with a better quality of wax (colour was great though).

Max, my dude, when you put the failed purity seal in the oven to melt the wax, then stamped a spray can into it to make the dent, could you not have just used the purity seal stamp to make the design as intended...? Or did I miss something?

@@GhostMkrMiniatures unfortunately the wax clung to the stamp the first time, it wasn’t that the stamp didn’t make its mark, it was that the wax wouldn’t let go 😂
