Making a Stained Glass Hinged Box

Here I show how to construct a small hinged box, from start to finish, including making and adding a hinge. These are the boxes we make in class- a diamond shape and an octagon.

I'm a house painter and used tape before to hold little glass projects before... However, I said to myself "I wish I could use the tape to prevent the solder from falling through the edges"...

could a person tin the brass tubing beforehand, so the entire hinge is covered in solder?

I tried making a box with a hinged lid, but the foil keeps pulling off. Do you have any tips? I will keep rewatching the video because I'm sure I must have missed something.

why you do not use hARD FOAM GUABARY

FYI it may have been a little easier if you had the pattern under the work to get the angles all perfect without futzing
