A thermos flask? Very clever - and nice looking props all round. The blinking lights added an extra bit of interest to the props, too. - Trevor

I’ve been learning to use Blender, a free 3D modeler and am looking for an inexpensive 3D printer to print my models. I was just about to tell you all about it, but, of course, you already knew that this was a good way to create your own devices. In your film, when the alien fellow pulled out that little hacking device, I thought he would try to be very covert about it, but instead, he attached it at the edge of the console, right where the others could plainly see it and see him doing it. But no one noticed, even with a flashing light on it. This was one part of the story that was hard to believe. But still, I loved it all. It really was a great episode for a fan film on a low budget.

Thanks for the thought Richard, and I'm glad you liked the props :-) The character probably could've been a bit more subtle (as could the flashing lights!) but it's just one of those slightly heightened things for staging and dramatic effect I guess.

Very Cool. As always I appreciate the work that has gone into the film and especially the physical (practical) effects. The thermos flask was perfect for the job and looked exactly like the thing that would appear in TNG. I worried that these behind the scenes videos are going to come to and end soon :(

Thanks LJ! Not quite run out yet, but then as Q might say "All good things must come to an end..." Ha ha.

If you wanted to crowdfund a film - I'd contribute to it.

Thanks! Different genre - but right now we're actually crowdfunding for an "A-Team" fan film. Check it out if you're interested: www.kickstarter.com/projects/a-teamfanfilm/the-a-team-fan-film
