Its gorgeous, makes me want to start and make my own little streams and waterfalls, but I have no clue what materials I'd need to get started
@emeraldreefnriver62053 жыл бұрын
Not much, for this all he used was a pot, cheap waterfall pump, some ( possibly ) aquascaping or collected rocks, glue and then dirt, and plants were Mostly moss and a Maidenhairs Fern, with a dotted decorative grass here or there :) The floating plant he used was salvinia which should be easy to find in some dam or river as it’s invasive and everywhere!
@emeraldreefnriver62053 жыл бұрын
It’s best to use Cyanoacrylate glue ( your usual superglue but it will say if it’s cyanoacrylate on the packet ) for this as it hardens instantly when in touch with water and is the best “waterproof” glue for this. You can find beautiful rocks at your local aquarium store or in the nature around you, as well as driftwood.
@emeraldreefnriver62053 жыл бұрын
Mosses you can collect all around you in City and forest, maidenhair Ferns will be at most nurseries and there you will find even more nice Ferns and small plants that work well in these scapes.
@emeraldreefnriver62053 жыл бұрын
If you wanted you could even take this a step further with aquatic plants, add some pearlweed in the water which would look beautiful.

This is stunning! Once everything is glued in place and plants added, how do you keep the water and pump clean? I get that you can syphon out the water, but what do you do to access the fountain pump to clean and maintain it?

I don't think he glued the rocks to the basin so he can probably just take the rocks out and get to it.

First of all: amazing video! I love the design of the stream, your process, your filming and music. Perfection! Secondly: how genius is it, to use a pump with wireless charging and installing a wireless charger underneath 😲 maybe it’s because I have no idea of how to do something like that, or maybe I’m just not creative/ smart enough 😂 but that was such a good idea! 😂
