Ion thrusters work by creating ions (charged particles) from a gas, like xenon. These ions are then accelerated by an electric field and shot out of the engine at high speed. As the ions are pushed out, the spacecraft gets pushed in the opposite direction, similar to how a balloon moves when air escapes from it. Even though space has no air, ion thrusters don’t need air to work-they use electricity to move the ions. This allows the spacecraft to slowly but steadily move forward.

There was design inprovement. If I understand correctly, the middle stage is not directly connected to the power source. Multi-stage thruster from plasma channel has all stages connected. If that is true, that would be really smart and I wonder what are the limits of such a design. Because that would allow higher voltages and weight savings. However it really is building on top of both designs instead of creating entirely new one.

Propulsion systems, including propellers, jet engines and rockets all depend upon atmospheric pressure in order to produce movement. The movement that thrust produces is created by using two different levels of pressures against each other. Using a boat propeller for a more obvious example; if you take a boats propeller out of the atmosphere that it needs to operate, i.e. water, it no longer produces any forward movement. This same principle applies to air propulsion systems. If you take the propulsion system out of our pressurized atmosphere, it will no longer produce movement. It MUST have atmospheric pressure to push against in order to produce an opposite and equal reaction, i.e. movement. If you put a rocket into "space" or a true vacuum, (I'm not arguing whether or not it will produce a flame out of its exhaust) it will no longer produce movement, it MUST have atmospheric pressure to push against. It produces thrust by pushing against the atmosphere around it. If you remove it from the pressurized atmosphere, just like the aforementioned boat propeller, it will no longer be able to produce any movement. It would be like a fish out of water.

Using Ultrasonic sound waves to create high pressure low pressure areas (acoustic standing ultrasonic waves) would benefit the plasma discharge, if aligned in a high pressure wave, as it is Influenced by Air Pressure. For example: Plasma stability: Higher air pressures can stabilize the plasma, reducing instabilities and improving uniformity. Reactive species generation: Air pressure can influence the generation of reactive species, such as oxygen and nitrogen radicals. Plasma-surface interactions: Air pressure can affect the interactions between the plasma and the treated surface, influencing the extent of surface modification. Once did an experiment with a balloon, a clear glass tube and electric flyswatter high voltage generator(which are much smaller by the way) on how air pressure affected plasma discharge and the higher the pressure the less electricity was needed to jump the gap over the same distance.

your design is so close to mine, it almost makes me think you read one of my comments in either your channel, or another engineering channel. the only difference between yours and mine is the spacing between coils. mine is compressed even further, like taking donuts of different sizes, and putting them together like a bullseye target
