Thank you brother for the best time to watch my channel I will try my best to keep improving. Is not easy to do it by hand to find a way to contact between metal, everything I did look good but behind the scenes super crazy to scrap it. But happy with my results. I hope you enjoyed more

@@mr.ranyhomemade2466 I too am making a lathe, but from big ready parts, like scrapped CNC sliders and a ready bearing headstock. I am in awe what you achieve.

hi Rany I asked what Morse Taper your tailstock barrel was. A number 3 Morse Taper is common for medium size lathes (hole diameter at front of taper 0.938 inch, a number 4 is 1.231 inch). A number 4 taper is used on taper shank drills up to around 2 inch diameter, so some serious forces involved in using such large drills. You have made excellent progress with your machine.

The part when you said you do not know what it is called Mr. Ranny is called a ...Morse Taper ... it is an interference friction fit joint that was invented by a man named Morse sir i really enjoy your lathe build series hopefully you will subscribe and watch my future builds i am planning they will be a surface grinder /cutting fixture and a combination lathe/milling machine in one . It is so interesting that you and i are very similar in our ways of building using what is available being as resourcefull as possible with our limited resources available and i like you live remotely but way in the woods off grid
