the end cap is very nice. I've seen how they take apart samurai katanas and been thinking there could be a suitable structure for knifes too. Great job.

I wanted a chef knife that works as a multi-tool in the kitchen because looking after the collection of knives is a difficult task for me. I like that it is very sharp, cuts vegetables, great chopping. and cuts meat with a breeze. Happy to purchase it from Almazan Knives.

The lighting, the camera angles, and the background ambiance with the storm and rain make me feel like I am watching a scary movie. I felt myself getting tense as I watched haha. And this is in no way a criticism, it was like watching a different genera of knife making. Like a monster or killer was about to pop up at some point in the build. All in all, awesome video and awesome knife!

Pretty neat. When I use old files to make knives, I make sure to grind off all of the teeth. Failure to do so results in little cold shuts forged into the blade. That what those diagonal lines are, on one side of an otherwise beautiful blade. Those are stress risers which can cause the blade to snap, usually at the worst possible time. I would not carry this knife into any situation where I would have to depend on it for my survival. A beautiful knife, a great sheath. It would make an awesome camp knife.

A puukko too big is a leuku, camping tool of the Saami.

Even though it just exceeds the 1:1 handle-to-blade ratio, I feel that it is too light and thin to be considered a forward-heavy chopping blade like a leuku. I only called this one a puukko because the way it performs and how it is balanced. The blade is more tanto-shaped, but I was aiming for a puukko look. I could call it a "tanto-style bladed scandi ground puukko/leuku take-apart knife," but that is really a mouthful. Personally, I don't really get too caught up with classifying blades because the inspiration for my knives come from so many sources, making it impossible to classify it as a pure form of a traditional knife.

It is not the size, usualy puukko is handel and blade ratio, but its more like blade shape and angle.

It is called a saw rasp. Shinto makes them.
