I think the stove is a salesman sample. Traveling salesmen would go around with miniatures of the things they sold. Could be a collectible.

Why does everybody and his brother say "these were salesmans samples". What, you don't think kids had toys that looked like moms? And BTW they DID make working "toy" wood stoves. Kind of like an antique Easy Bake Oven
