I’m twice his age, and while he knows his way around a forge, I know my way around life and my old body (it’s not the age, it’s the mileage), and we are both awkward and trip over stuff. Yes,i wanted to tell him that as well. I made this mistake myself once.the surface didnt harden at all,because the carbon burned out. The core only made it to about 48 HRC even before the annealing.

Ten years in the business I would be proud bringing out a knife by you two everyday while on the line. Really cool you guys made this for a man with 20 year in one place. I think the reason watching this channel is so interesting is because this isn't just a hobby. It's a job. There is such a sense of professionalism. True they still do what they want in the end but thats because they are a two man company so it's there choice. It's not them doing some for the camera, it's them doing something in front of the camera.

Long time subscriber here. I’ve been thinking of this idea for you to do. It would be awesome to see a series where you make “tools of the trade” custom tools for example, carpenters make a claw hammer, ironworkers make a set of spud wrenches, so on and so forth. Ever since I saw your millwright friend on there it gave me the idea.
