I would like to make one for my rv. Kitchen sink counter tops, cabinets for my flatware, and dishes, and pantries. And lastly my bathroom and bedroom You do great work..

great counter! I would have done it differently... I would have done it like hardwood flooring installation this way you can "nail down" on the sides and not use screws thus making top surface very clean. This also ensures there is no gap between the planks (first glue, the use clamps, then the cross nail on the sides to avoid any lateral movements).

Love walnut, looks good. You think you could have screwed and glued from the bottom piece aimed up into the walnut and sized the screw right so it wouldn't poke through close to the topsheet?? If I was going to have to build a counter this way with two layers that's what I'd rather do and then no screw holes , the glue will hold strong already. My first choice would be to use 2" thick walnut about 3" wide or so and make it all full solid walnut. That is if you can get thick boards. Not trying to criticize just wanted to give you opinion as well if you wanted to try. There's a hundred ways to build anything.
