Love the contrast between the edge banding and the main unit. Cracking.

While I'm not a huge fan of MDF...you did a beautiful job there and the oak trims work rather well with the white cabinet. Your mom must be very pleased. I am looking forward to seeing what you come up with next.

Looks very nice. A quick tip; attach a flat piece of board to your drill press table. It'll stop blow out and protect your drill bits/cutters.

I find the easiest way to do the bottle holder is to use the hole saw in the middle of the board and then rip it down the middle like you did for the neck holder.

Wasn’t expecting that to turn out so awesome but it’s very impressive. Great job! Couple of random questions if you don’t mind - 1) Do you ever get a big bit of wood stuck inside your hole saw bits? If so, how in the hell do you get them out? I’ve had to bin a couple of them in the past. They were cheapies so I wasn’t bothered but still… 2) What’s your home address? I’ll be round in an hour to drink all that wine for ya 😉

The drill bit unscrews from mine. Then you can push the wood out
@RyanDavidHale
@RyanDavidHale 2 жыл бұрын
A quick tip for your holesaw question. Start off you hole with the hilesaw bit. Then drill a hole on the inside of the cut, but just touching the perimeter. This does 2 things. First allows a channel for saw dust to escape and reduce burn marks. Second it'll allow you to jam something in it to help get the wood out from inside of your hole cutting bit. One other option would be to drill one or two holes in the top surface of your cutter. That way you can push the wood back down and out. Either that or invest in some removable drill bit ones.
