Making a Winnie the Pooh Cake!

I think this is one of your best character cakes, Robert. ❤ When my son was born, he came home to a nursery decked out in Winnie-the-Pooh decor. Even his play mobile was characters from the Winnie-the-Pooh books and movies. His first photographs, during the ages of 1month-3 years old, were usually taken with a Winnie-the-Pooh bear. Sadly, my son passed away in 2022, very suddenly and unexpectedly. He was just in his early 40s and he was an only child. He was a great son and grew into a wonderful man who gave back to his family, friends, and community. Your cake made me smile and also shed a tear or two. But, they are happy tears from the love my son had for Winnie-the-Pooh. I would consider myself quite an expert on this character. As always, you did a brilliant job on this cake, Robert. Well done, sir. 🙂🧸

@@lisabowman5848 Thank you, Lisa. It's the hardest thing I've experienced in my lifetime. The grief process is very slow, but we're trying to put one foot in front of the other everyday. I very rarely mention anything about this journey on social media. But, Robert's cake gave me so many flashbacks, all good ones. Your kind words of sympathy made my day today. So, again...thanks! 🙂

That is such a cute cake! Pooh was my youngest's favorite character when he was a child (he's nearly 29 now). I had never heard of modeling chocolate until watching this channel, it was always fondant. When you asked for cake suggestions the Pillsbury DoughBoy and Michelin Man popped into my head, but those would be pretty boring since they are white. What about one of the Peanuts characters (Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Lucy) or maybe Scooby-Doo and gang (or just Shaggy). I think a lot of the older cartoon characters like Care Bears, My Little Pony, Strawberry Shortcake and friends, Rainbow Bright and friends, Flintstones, etc would make excellent character cakes. You can make a single character or several smaller characters in a small scene. A couple of Care Bears on a cloud...something like that. Anyway, I love your videos and thanks for sharing them.
