To be honest dude, most people here are watching for your woodworking skills, not your filming and editing skills. Don’t feel bad if you don’t think some of the camera views are very good, the quality of your carvings more than make up for it. Thanks for the upload

When someone makes wood carving seem as easy as jonas olsen, there's no question in mind, this guy can do anything, from looking at his sketchs ,actual wood craving to finish, including explaining and demonstrating , you done great job , I'm an artist, with Some wood craving experience, but not a pro like this guy

Jonas thank you so much for this video and your commentary, so many people making these don`t speak much, and at least we can all understand your thinking, and your process to make your Unique carvings, they are superb. The trouble you go to shows through by the results and I for one love things which are different, and yours certainly are different!!! Looking forward to the next ones soon I hope.

Only found your vids today Jonas, but am I glad I did. Have never seen wooden sculptures that I like as much as yours and I have so far only seen three of your projects vids. Your talent seems boundless and with that and your images of how each piece should look, not only in your mind but also on paper must surly be amongst the best out there. I love the way your projects seem to have a mythical look with such attention to detail of whichever animal you are sculpting as the main theme. Not sure if it is the Norwegian element of the mythical look but it works an absolute treat, these sculptures are so beautiful. Given that these vids are only about 4 years old and your young age, I would say that you must have an incredible future ahead of you and your skills will only get better with time. Jonas Olsen, a name every gallery and it's visitors will know before long. Well done Jonas and good luck from a new subscriber.

Jonas, your woodcarving is what this is all about. Don't worry about anything else. Your filming and editing are just fine and need no apologies for quality or content either. The gaiety around the wolf's face is referred to as the mane, or ruff...no big deal calling it cheek hair. We know what you meant. The wood you chose really sets this beauty in a light all it's own and it turned out very eye catching for sure. Thanks for sharing!!

Thanks for letting me know! I will try to have mine replaced as well! It was a pretty expensive tool afterall so would be nice to get it back working! Jonas, try a box fan with a square filter on the back. I use a standard (U.S.) box fan of 20"x20" and a $4 filter for a central A/C unit in my shop and it greatly cuts down on the fine particles in my shop. Gorgeous carving BTW!

@jackkuehneman93005 жыл бұрын
Turned out good. Nice job. I would argue about the base though. Many times we get into the habit of always having a trophy style base. I would suggest incorporating the base into the sculpture. Having a base solidifies the objects visual weight. This isn't bad but it does have an effect on how we see the object. If you do like having that style of base, change how it meets the table. Adding little feet to the bottom to give it just a few millimeters off the table will drastically change how we see it. There's more visual interest in something that's lifted up off the table, kinda like giving it more importance.. but great job. Love the videos
