I've watched 50 some odd videos researching methods on building these types of vice. This is the first video that shows the correct method. Unless you want to spend a fortune you have to tap and die your own dowel nuts or get reversible threads. This is the first video that shows the correct manner. Thank you for teaching me. If I had to use these clamps your design is the one I would want to use.

You need a left and right screw to tighten and loosen it with both hands. Using screws in one direction causes one side to tighten and one side to loosen when tightened or loosened with both hands. Have a nice day.
