Making a Yu-Gi-Oh card in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and Cinema 4D

This is a livestream from May 16th 2020 where we held a livestream on Twitch. In 2 hours we redesigned a Yu-Gi-Oh card named Shadow Spell with some acid graphics, tribal shapes and a chrome chain 3D render. After designing the card we made it into a holographic card in Cinema 4D.

The principals are the same, the interface just isn’t. To me C4D was more intuitive but since Blender is free it might be the better option for beginners

“The fundamentals of designing a trading card’😭🤣 I know I’m late, but what a fuckin gatekeeper. People clearly like how this dude creates things, and there are no set rules for every piece of art. Be it trading card, or a Japanese body suit tattoo. If you’ve got the skill you can make it look good regardless, which this does.
