Interesting machine, even if I do wonder if the world needs one more 303 clone - I do have a couple of 303-ish synths (Erica db-01, mam mb-33, the Behringer yellow one, which is horrible to program). Great for acid, but somehow limited in what they can do. The only thing I could think about Donner is that the name makes me hungry 🥙😊 (sorry sorry, I’ll show myself the door)

I'm using the 303 of Ableton Live Lite. I've just pressed the random button for parameters a couple of times, and now it sounds great. Some FX behind it (filter / distortion) are mandatory. BTW: Do you remember those little orange boxes, laying around on other producers desks? That's the shock-protected stuff from LaCie.

Battery powered possibilities would be sweet, though in reality I barely use batteries for any of my devices that actually can take them.
@DjDoggDad
@DjDoggDad Жыл бұрын
@@StephenMcLeod To any manufacturers especially donner, please dont discount my statement on batteries (AA not li-on), for a lot of us the difference in playing is simply being able to move an instrument to where you are and not having to worry about a plug and just music. My instruments that are battery powered (or acoustic!) and can simply be walked to my porch are the ones with the most use. I love the sound and general interface of the B1 over other 303 variants, but for me personally it just gets far less use from being tethered 4ft from a 120v plug. I'm not trying to be a downer I just think donner was so close to making a timeless device imho.

@@DjDoggDadI fully agree with you. The only reason I didn't buy this is because it didn't have the option of battery power. And, like you, I'd much prefer to use AA batteries rather than a built-in lithium ion battery that will die within 2 years
