Hi Firdevsakdogan! Yes, you're right, it might be happened if the cake is too soft, the topper may fall/slip because it is quite heavy.. I think the stick should go all the way to the bottom of the cake/cake board. You can also use buttercake which is denser than spongecake so that it supports the topper more firmly 😊

What icing do you use for the cake before you place the fondant? What works well for hot Indonesian weather?

Hi again Rachel! I used buttercream icing.. I made my cake the day before delivering it, and I made the toppets in advance.. I finished the cake and kept it in the air-conditioned room overnight, not in the fridge.. but I know other Indonesian bakers use chocolate ganache. I've tried using ganache but it melted during the day, maybe I used a different ganache recipe 😁
