Hi Tim, I don’t know if you’ll see this comment but I’ve been struggling to make drum and bass for months now. Not even half way through your video and the ideas came flowing! I stayed up until 5am working on a track (including arrangement) now I have a 9 min D&B banger in my hands all thanks to you! Keep up the great work, my friend.

I struggled to make DnB for years and I know how frustrating it can be, thanks so much for letting me know I helped :)

My takeaway is the cheerful attitude and genuine delight when little tweaks work out or happy accidents occur. My process for some reason features more frustration and self doubt. 😅

“Thank heavens for small mercies” is my motto when making music 😆 hang in there buddy I’ve been making tunes for thirty years and I assure you I’ve experienced at least as much frustration and self-doubt!

Great video and great work :) would you ever consider making a video like this for an acid house track?

I am at the Roadhouse sample bit and I have to say, much like the film, that is sublime. "Dalton's Theme" is coming along nicely! (I know the sample isn't from Dalton, but I'm hoping in the 2nd half of the tune you drape a few choice Dalton soundbites over the tune.

Really great video Tim, any chance you have more info on the old Aquasky sample pack from CM? do you know by any chance what year / issue is that from? Thanks!

This video really gave me the confidence I needed to make my first dnb song, watching the whole process just stopped me being worried about the way I was doing things. Only thing is, I've done some googling and I really can't find the answer, is there anyway to cut and chop audio looks like Tim does in the video with his break but on FL studio? The only way I've been able find to do it is with sampleX, but I think seeing the waveforms as opposed to the markers would make a lot more sense to me. Other than that cheers for the video Tim :)
