Never seen anyone knapp standing up and produce a bi face. Everyone seems to lap knapp or freehand but sat down. Great work man. Got yourself another sub. Looking forward to seeing what else you’ve done.

Cam you do a video on finding good flint napping stone? I want to get into it but can't find any in my area.

Might be late to the party here, but it depends where you live. Unfortunately stone is formed dependant on the environment, elements/minerals and a few other things. Where I live there’s absolutely nothing. It’s just a sad fact for me. Have to travel at least 50 miles. I’m guessing you’re from the US. I believe Texas has a good source of cherts. If you just wanna get your hands on stone, Ebay has some great listings for Georgetown cherts(and many others) I’ve been eyeing. Just cba paying 100 quid for postage to the UK, even if it some beautiful stone 😂😂 but if you want to source your own, I’d look up Donny Dust’s video on it. It’s about 20 something minutes long if I recall correctly, he does have some shorter ones. But in the long one, he breaks it down really well from looking at soil reports and geological factors down to just asking locals. You wanna research where the ancient cultures lived and quarried stone. You can also find it in some rivers. I’d recommend river walks, even if you don’t find knappable stone, you’re pretty much guaranteed to get yourself some good hammer stones. One piece of advice though. Don’t get disheartened if you start blowing the rocks to pieces. It’s a real skill, and it’s a hell of a lot harder than it looks. There’s a real knack to it. I’m at least 50kg of stone (110lbs) into it and all I want to make is a knife and I’ve not even got close. I can pressure flake a somewhat decent arrow head but nothing I’m really proud of yet. Hope you get there man.

I'd say it seems like Flint but because of the white marks it leaves upon scratches it might be limestone although I've never seen limestone with that color usually they're whitish to light grey colour

Flint Knapping is pressure flaking Flint into your desired shape. Stone knapping covers the previous comment as well as any other type of stone that can be pressure flaked into a useful tool.
