I forgot to mention in the video, this wound up taking a little under 4 skeins of yarn: 3 of the black and 1 of the silver.

I have watched many you tube videos on machine knitting, of very varying quality. Your video is excellent. You have a very direct way of presenting your instructions which makes it easy to follow. The camera shots are very clear. This is an amazing, and easy to watch and listen to, video tutorial. I’m really glad I found it, thank you.

This was one of the most therapeutic and relaxing tutorials I've ever watched. Just bought my first knitting machine so I'm doing some research and looking for inspiration - this ticked all my boxes. Thank you!

This is a great basic sweater … simple lines with enough shaping to be flattering to a human body and not look like a big box. Thanks for sharing!

This wonderful, relaxed (almost atmospheric!) video format together with the simple pattern could help the esteem of many an aspiring machine knitter now intimidated by their machine. You use a masterful tone - you are long past being intimidated by your machine. I am going to do this project just for the sheer fun of it.

I love this so much... I've seen others do the around the gate peg cast off with the transfer tool, but I've always done it with the latch tool. Or maybe it's just a latch tool bind off... Anyway, I find it quicker... :)

Thanks for this video and pattern. I am an absolute raw beginner so far I've created a swatch to learn about tension. Your voice is so calm and instructions are clear, and following what you are doing seems clear but I haven't tried to actually do it yet.

Thank you for presenting a great video that a beginner might be able to produce a product and that has some modern day styling. I know I should be content to practice with swatches but that is so uninspiring. Other basic patterns I find look so out dated. I may need to do a little gauge math but this seems doable!

Sure you could. Practice her steps on a sample yarn (whatever you have hanging around) and don’t try to “make” anything. Just do some stripes, do some increasing and decreasing, try doing the folded hem, etc. Just do a small swatch (10”?) and plan for mistakes. She doesn’t know any magic. She’s just done this a lot. Just ask her. She could show you a basket full of NSFWs (not suitable for wearing). Have fun. You’ll be amazed how quickly you find yourself getting the process.

Knitting Machine Maintenance by Sam Meech right here on KZbin. It’s SO comprehensive. Covers European, Japanese, and even the Bond (this was recorded before the LK150 was on the market). He goes through weekly, monthly, and yearly routines. This is one to download.

Hejsa, thanks for a very nice and informative video, the yarn you used looks thick and you set machine tight to 10 but 100 gram and 515 meters I have 2 different yarn 50 grams 120 meters and 50 gram 210 meter . I don't know if the description well fit if I tried to make the same, and you make the same sweater with tuck stitch or faire isle how it will be done. I have knitmaster 323 and trying to make one to my daughter 😅 thank again. I will keep trying.

At 13:32 you say seam up the rest of the sweater, do you use the same method with putting stitches on the machine then binding off or do you hand sew with mattress stitch?

OK, this is the video and accompanying pattern that has given me the push to knit my first garment! I have ribbers for both my standard and bulky machines, but I'd rather start with just the main bed, so the folded hems are perfect. One question. How do you determine how much yarn yardage you'll need.
@KnitFactoryImpl
@KnitFactoryImpl 10 ай бұрын
I am really bad at estimating yardage. I usually start with this chart and then buy more than it suggests support.lionbrand.com/support/solutions/articles/17000035213-how-much-yarn-do-i-need-to-make-a-

This is a great, practical design. What gauge were the stitches of your fabric? I have a bulky Brother machine but I'm pretty certain that the Big Twist yarn you used can be used on tighter end of a bulky machine.
@KnitFactoryImpl
@KnitFactoryImpl 2 жыл бұрын
I got about 6.5 stitches and 8 rows per inch at T10 on the standard gauge. My pattern generator can work with any gauge you get though.

What is that tool called that you're using to wind up your own skeins. That is a great little tool. I've had times where I had to unravel a blanket cause the rows kept shrinking and then gave up after starting over twice, I don't understand what was happening I've made quite a few blankets but this just was not cooperating. Anyways though I unraveled it and have a huge bag of hundreds of feet of yarn. Something like that would be very helpful.

For many, knitting is an activity they use to slow down and relax. Going fast isn't the goal. Also she was going slowly to clearly show and explain exery step.
