If this is not raycasting or anything like that, how'd you make the shadows? Do you check all blocks of the grid at all times and draw darker sprites if others are "on top"? Though I guess there's no top since this is not real 3D. I'm confused...

I just draw shadows on blocks that have other blocks on top, that's all I just check the entire grid

Dani-type humor and editing, but done badly + Music being too loud to even hear you = a very unwatchable video. I'd recommend tuning your volume settings when editing. Speaking of editing, you don't need to try to be funny to make an entertaining video, btw. Sometimes the information being presented is entertaining enough, at least for me. Would also recommend trying to find your own style of humor and editing. That's just my two-cents tho.

I want the guy the grow, but I don't think he's gonna grow much just being an imitation of someone else. I talked about my problems, I offered solutions. Is criticism not allowed anymore?

Like theres another commenter saying "love the video but the music was a bit too loud. can't wait for your next vid" thats how you give criticism Why do people even post hate comments anyways

Harsh criticism is still criticism and you can still find feedback even in "hate comments". I have a tutorial on how I use cmake, if you are talking about installing the library globally I strongly advice against that because it makes it harder for you to debug, to change the library to have multiple versions or probably most important to send the project to others. Just put the library in another folder, call add subdirectory and target link library
