Making An L Shaped Lounge Into A Double Bed - Caravan Bedding
An L shaped lounge configuration in a caravan or motorhome is a great use of daytime space.
Especially in a smaller unit, where bench style seating can make the small area feel cramped.
It's a pity that a lot of people are put off this configuration by the thoughts of making this into a double bed of an evening. It really is simple, just as simple as the more popular bench seating arrangement!
Once you've done this a few times, it literally does take just over a minute and has the added bonus of still leaving a small seating area for someone who's not quite ready for bed yet, and still wants to watch the telly.

Our caravan had a dinette at the back where we had to do this every night, so I tore it out and built a double bed to save the hassle. The girls sleep on the bench seats at the front without having to change anything because they’re short enough. 😂😊

Sounds like a great idea that with the bed at the back! In a few months our son will be too tall for the dinette so will be looking at another 'van in a year. Oh for him to be short again 😀

Flipping is the key but mattress toppers help LOL We will stick to the fixed bed.

Absolutely Dave, they really iron out the lumps, bumps and gaps. And even though we'll miss the extra daytime space of a make up bed, its definately a fixed bed in our next 'van. It'll be luxury 😀 Cheers for watching 👍
