A tip for strapless: When one constructs strapless pieces from scratch one takes out width in the top edge by slimming in the top inch of the seams, to make it go ever so slightly in on the top edge. Using a pattern as you are doing here it will most likely not use this in the construction as it can look a little strange to someone without this knowledge. The easiest way and what I imagine will be most useful for your kind of process is to just pinch in the top of each side seam, and if needed on the other seams too. Hope this is useful information to you (or anyone else reading)!
@kathrinelovell40254 жыл бұрын
You might consider some boning as well, to keep it a little rigid on your body, so you won’t get the droop.
@ThePixiixiq4 жыл бұрын

This is fantastic!! And, the secret to keeping strapless dresses from falling down is using boning, particularly spiral steel. Gives enough structure to not flop

I just found your channel... I'm freaking LOVING this!!! Thanks for sharing your quirky honest chaotic creative side... I feel so seen. XO Cheers!
@soseconds65914 жыл бұрын
Adding boning channels in the bodice (between the lining and burlap, some how, lol) that are closed at the bottom but open at the top would allow you to slide (removable) thin glow sticks in them. They should show up pretty well through the loose weave of the burlap and add a little structure. Love this dress for Halloween!
