This is AWESOME!love the way it turned out....🖤🖤🖤 You could probably put some boning or interfacing in the bodice to make it less "frumpy" looking...

My mom used Bobby pins to secure the pin curls she put in our hair for school pictures. 2 pins each, in an X. Worked really well, but I imagine Bobbies are more difficult to place than clips are…

Foam rollers leave a “bump” all around your head from where you snapped the plastic on it. I hate that “bump” on me, so pin curls would be the way to go

Hmm, i make designs with inexpensive silicone molds, and for something like this, i would fill them with tp. I just mix up some water and a tiny bit of pvc glue and put in a squirt bottle, like the bottle the glue came in. Then can either tear up pieces of tp into a bowl, basket whatever, or just use the pull-apart squares like id do in the vid below. If im not making flowers then i use the bits and put them in the mold, squeeze a little glue solution, tap down with a brush, more tp bits, glue brush till its full. Let dry, pop out of the mold and then trim excess if necessary. These are so light and you can glue them almost anything, paint etc. Oh did you stick tooth picks or wood skewers into the piece to attach it to the other one? You could also strengthen it from the back by cutting a slot across and then pushing something in the slot, like a broken wood ruler? only thinner? kzbin.info/www/bejne/gJimeKiwjbOtmZY

The 'thing' works well on dry hair, but you need to have layers! If you don't have a 'thing', a long sock or rag works too...
