The putter head is made from osage orange and the shaft is made from hickory. I filled all the voids in the putter with a 2:1 epoxy.

Man, I just wanna say you're such an inspiration. I found out about your channel from your 100 y/o oak spoon video (which, looking at it now at 15m views, I'm sure a lot of others did too!) and have been a fan since. The recent-ish addition of your vlog-type videos made the content more relatable, and they're super entertaining! Lastly, from watching your videos, and finding more woodworking channels, I decided to pick up a chisel and try at it. It brings me a lot of joy. Thank you so much

Hi Andy. Looks good. Could you not have sliced a quarter inch off the bottom and hollowed out the back of the putter before filling with lead and regluing the bottom thus gaining the weight but hiding it inside the putter. Think I might try this. Always wanted a wooden putter that I made. Thanks for the video man.

For your consideration... A nubuck leather wrap grip and maybe next time, don't bore the shaft hole all the way through. The epoxy would make for a great face material.

Just put the lead weight on the contact point, like a small flat bar across the entire surface. It will keep the wood from looking ugly and will be functional.

We call it Hedge where I grew up and they will take over everything if you let them. I’ve only ever used this species for bonfires, man does it burn hot really hot. It has a very pretty color and grain might save a nice piece next time I make the trip home for what I have no idea it will probably collect dust in the corner until I throw it in a fire.
