I love math being explained in such a fun way. I have some experience doing this type of thing with friends trying to explain what im doing in school. Its always fun to see the click moment where a fourier transform or a complicated function just makes sense. Math is beautiful just as the world around it is.

Speaking for all blender users out there No sane person uses nodes like this, all of that is just for demonstration purposes. Most of the showcased math in the video are ready and easy to use tools in blender itself. For example Distance is part of "Vector math" node and making black and for changing black and white into different colors just use Color Ramp, which maps values from 0-1 to any specified color

Idk blender in particular, but I can see it being helpful to have an external node to do strange maths things to. eg Keeping the order of operations visible and pliable

Great video!!! I didn't expect this one though🫣 i loved this one, honestly this is probably my favorite video from you. I loved the sorta behind the scenes type video, and that you were able to use math, and especially that segment about using high-level math's to solve everyday problems, keep up the good work 😊

Dude your content is way too underrated for what you do. So many times I see equations and Stuff I've already learned being used for real life things in your videos and it really helps understand that all the shit we learn in books does have uses everywhere in life!

Once I was talking with my friend & he asked who even uses vectors? My literal honest reaction was essay why vectors & maths are the most useful thing ever made.

I really loved this video. I actually keep challenging to simulate shapes and movements using graphic calculators, which made this really relatable. I'm still in school without job, so sadly I can't support you, but know that your videos greatly help me get an alternative view on the concepts I learn in school. _ _ ( V ) \ / V

I tried your setup at 2:26 for fun, what did you setup for your attribute to get your color outputs like that? Do you have something to cap it from going yellow(the negative z colour)?
@MAKiTHappen
@MAKiTHappen 3 күн бұрын
Ah yes, that is something I skipped over because it was a bit more technical and less mathematicalz but basically geometry nodes capture the position in a better way, so in geometry nodes I just store a named attribute called XYZ and then take it in the shader nodes There is nothing theoretically stopping it from going negative z, it's just that in order for it to go into negative z, it would have to go into the floor, hence why it's always blue
