Funny but that's not exactly how cancer is formed. Plus this type of technology would help to prevent MANY causes of cancers in human beings. Now if you decided to, or accidentally, conceive a child naturally, they would stand a higher risk of developing some form of cancer within their lifetime either due to genetics or external/environment factors. @@lordbyronkeith9488 I know how cancer is formed, however, when you take stem cells from the body's skin cells, you're basically using damaged cells that have been exposed to UV rays, chemicals, and other type of sources that can lead to mutation, cancer, and toxicity to create a child, which by the way isn't even possible because skin cells are multipotent or unipotent, I believe, so there's no way they can become things such as sperm cells or egg cells, unless you kill an embryo or blastula to get pluripotent and totipotent stem cells from it that can become sperm and egg cells, which is basically like killing a child to create a child... It's also better to do it naturally because other than killing an unborn child, you basically give rise to diversity. Not only that, but only germ cells, which are protected from the UV rays or any other kind of chemicals with alot of tissues and shit, can be the one passing cancer, for example, to a child. So while it's possible to have cancer in germ cells, it's far more rare than having it in somatic cells, such as skin cells, who are exposed to UV rays most of the times...

Granted up COULD get stem cells by harvesting them from a fetus but this would be then be like taking cells from a completely different person. This was shown in the 25%, 25%, 25%, 25% example. Not exactly what most parents would want. Instead a doctor could harvest your the stem cells from you skin , typically the forearm, and use this material to create a viable egg cell (which are the same stem cells). This could then be fertilized with your partner's sperm cell if you are a gay couple. If you are a women, however, stem cells from bone marrow are typically used to produce a brand new nuclei which would replace one in a doner egg cell or simply added to produce a viable and health embryo. Also typically multiple embryos are created and tested in order to select the best and healthiest ones for implantation. These go on to grow into a fetus while the rest are stored for later usage, donated to science, or destroyed, depending on what the couple or individual requests. Also to add, don't let the video full you. This whole process of IVG has already and IS already being practiced. Just like IVF was being done behind closed doors decades before it was made public. This is just a way for society as a whole to be inoculated to the idea of IVG. That's all. IVF will set you back 100k+, IVG 500k+, and a full clone 1.5 million.

IVF is acceptable because you're making a surgury to help infertile people who are born that way. However, IVG is basically like killing children to create children to sell them to people who choose to not reproduce naturally. It's really wrong. Oh, and as far as I remember, we haven't really tested IVG on humans. I think we tested it on a female rat and it worked, but the baby died few days later (?)

No. Not exactly. That would only be if the child was an exact clone or basically had the same 46 chromosomes in the exact same sequence order as your 46 chromosomes. Think Dolly the sheep. This process however would create 2 individual gametes (1 sperm cell & 1 egg cell) each of with would have only 23 pairs of chromosomes. You could have a fetus with the exact same 46 chromosomes as yourself which indeed would produce a identical genetic copy. At birth the child would be the same as you, however, environmental factors (nature vs nurture) would slightly alter your clone by adulthood. The fetus however could receive two copies of the same 23 pairs of chromosomes in which case it wouldn't be a clone but a completely different being. The risk of course would be that they would have a high chance of inheriting any genetic defects that you might have. Hence the "incest on steroids" quote. You theoretically could use the Crisper gene altering technology to correct any issues but at this point you would be spending 1.5 million dollars for you one kid before they are even born. Honestly you should just think about adoption at them point.
