one thing that bothers me af is that from what i can hear the hi hat sample isnt just a one one shots, it sounds like theyre more articulations also it has a swing to it. I'm almost sure that the producers used some kind of drum vst like addictive drums to make hats and then they processed it

Yes. This way I can blend the two tracks together. It would be way too harsh if I applied it directly to the drum machine designer track. For the New York technique you usually blend the two together
