Making Bag : Chest / Bum Bag

Hello from Bangkok. Today I'm going to make a chest / bum bag.
It's the bag type I'm always like to use daily. In this video we shot lots of footage in details, duration is longer than all we've done.
So hope you enjoy it. And if you guys like us to improve in which point you are free to let us know.
Oh we are also shot an outdoor scene in Hanoi, VIETNAM.
We love the city, people and of course...... food.
In the future we may make vlog about food and travel.
(Actually we shot a lot with gopro in this Hanoi trip)
But just right now we are focusing more on bags.

i punch the iron after i glue it, but why after punch it two layers of leather edges can not stick together? does that because of my glue is bad? or some else reason?

Does your pattern link where I can buy the buckles and piping you used?

Our pattern link contain patterns and instructions document. For buckle and piping I bought from local leather bags supply street in Bangkok. (We have lots of bag makers and bag factories in Thailand) Their shop do not have online or international shipping. Sometimes I suggest to my foreigner student to find some material similar to what you can't found. Like solid plastic piping you also can use tiny oxygen tube (for fish tank), small rope, solid rod or even round vegtanned leather string, or shoe lace. For tuck buckle, sure you can find them on ebay.

how long do you waiting for the glue dry?

Hi Sam Wang. For glue issue. I don't know which glue you use. I use contact glue/adhesive/cement local brand sell in Thailand. But for international you might find "pattex/threebond/dunlop/pyrm" or other. Some glues are not strong bond enough like "UHU" or else. Make sure it's labeled for leather or wood works. To apply glue please make sure the surface is clean. Then need to scratch leather in both surface. That's help glue to stick better. Then apply glue with brush. (For me I use flat spatula) Make sure you apply as thin as possible but cover all the surface. For me I wait about 3-5 mins. Then have to make sure the glue dry enough. (when touch on it nothing gooey lift up) Then paste them together. After paste you can use bone folder to flatten it and you can use wide clamp/pliers press on it again. Glue also have valid dates. Contact should be light, not to condense. Some how if using glue and open the lid too long the glue will lose its quality. (Please open and close very quick). Hope this can help. GUS

That's heat stamping machine local made with no brand in Thailand. I thinks there are lots of machine about the same look made from China you can easily seek for via Aliexpress. But if you look for more quality you can look for Kingsley or Dream Factory brand.

It's may takes about 15 hrs or more to do. (We might make it faster without video shooting n directing). But it's actually depends. Me take longer time than my wife :)
