Making Bath Bombs From Scratch With Recipe & Weighing

RECIPE (suitable for plastic bath bomb molds).
2400g Sodium Bicarb (84.65oz)
36g SLSA (1.6oz)
24g Any Carrier Oil (1oz) (Sweet Almond, Olive, Coconut, Apricot Kernel, Sunflower etc. etc.)
24g (1oz) Fragrance Oil
40g (1.41oz) Witch Hazel
Mix all of the above together first, once combined then add your citric acid (below) as I do in the video.
1150g (40.5oz) Citric Acid
Bath bomb Mould was a gift from a friend, so don't know where it's from.

I haven't been you do these before, but they look great! I wondered why you were putting alcohol and mica together in such large bottles. This answered my question. Very good idea to make spray bottles like this rather than digging out the airbrush machine. It makes perfect sense to me!

You might consider making a “tamper” just for that mold. I bet John could make you one. I make bath bombs too and my recipe is similar. I make a rainbow cloud bath bomb and it takes a lot of thumb work too. I have a rainbow embedded into it. Love watching your videos❤️

I am SO jealous of your mixer. I would give a minor body part for one like that. It would save me hours a week. A mixer improves the quality of Bathbombs I find, and helps your shoulders! Use a flat soap cutter to press it down, then use it to slice off the budging excess

Simply do a collaboration with Royalty soaps you can do a soap and ask her to mimic it. Or you just how bramble berry does she can send you things to Make… you can even do a review of Royalty Soaps items. Like a 3 day countdown of other soap companies. Thank you for this just a quick question as I made bath bombs with black mica and found it lightly stains the bath, I read that polysobate 80 can stop that so how many grams of that would I need to add to this recipe?

Hi Leanne, yes black mica will stain the bath, I don't think poly will help but try adding 10% of your oil weight say 10grams if using my recipe

Hi Karen, I did half weights of everything and my bombs ended up looking a bit deflated. Then the others that wouldn’t come out of the moulds, sort of oozed out of the moulds. Please could you suggest what I did wrong?

Hi Charlie, I'm not sure but the measurements should work try tweaking up or down a little to see what happens as weather and humidity all play a big part for us when making bath bombs, soaps etc.

if you used SCI make sure that you get the powder form and not the noodles :) .. i use SCI in mine.. and it works out perfectly, you can allow use milk powders as well ^_^
