Butterfingers used to be my favorite candy bars, then they changed the recipe for some reason and it tastes more peanut buttery and less like peanut brittle, which is why I liked it in the first place. The new butterfinger recipe sux and I'm so happy you made this so I can enjoy my favorite candy bar again.

5:38 "It's weird, but it works." This is literally what most professional chocolate companies do, seeding melted chocolate with the crystalline structure of finished, tempered chocolate. It works because nature will try to continue a pattern/substrate that has already been established. Look up nucleation if interested.

I was sure they were made with confectioners corn flakes. I had to look that up to see if it had gluten in it. It doesn't. The list of ingredients online today doesn't contain the cornflakes. So thanks for confirming my reality.

If it helps, I landed on your video from the "Unwrapped" video on how Butterfinger is made... they use crushed corn flakes in the peanut butter mix for the crunch. They do mention that there are some trade secrets in how the ingredients are blended, but the flakes basically give it the texture.
@angeltt43903 жыл бұрын
Corn (other than corn syrup) is no longer in the ingredients list. I should well imagine butterfingers are made in a similar fashion to the popular Asian candy Peanut Cake crisp candy, made by rolling a lump of warm sugar (the kind that is like taffy) into peanut flour, folded and rolled repeatedly to make the crispy layers as it cools.

@@dcwatashi ... Considering this video is about 2 years old, and considering my comment is about 2 years old... I'm thinking there were NOT 20 other comments stating the same. Hell, if I recall there were barely 20 comments at the very time I wrote my comment, much less comments about corn flakes. My favorite candy bars in no particular order, are Butterfinger, Snickers, and Take 5, My take away from this is that i love salty, sweet, and crunchy, so my ideal candy bar would be butterfinger infused nougat, caramel, pretzel chunks (with salt), peanuts, coated in chocolate.
