Really love this build. I think this is amazing! I do also feel the blade is a bit large, maybe make something similar with a more bearded style axe head, or even a halbert style. Good for stabbing and chopping but the bottom but goes straight instead of curving back to the body

In the Manga/Anime the Axe Hand actually has an extended handle in his forearm and exiting his elbow. Grabbing it when he swings gives him extra strength and can even split the ground. Unfortunately the arm positions of anime/manga differ from real life so the handle would be impossible to implement unless it stuck out differently kinda like a scythe handle.

Woof, your kids are watching One Piece? That's a heck of an undertaking. They'll probably graduate high school before they catch up, LOL! Amazing project, for sure! One Piece has a ton of wild weapons that seem to be right up your alley. Although this axe-arm thingie is only reinforcing that comment I made a while back about you slowly cobbling together a Cut Man costume without anyone noticing... 😜

Oh¡ Just the guy I always have been searching.several years ago I had an idea for a multifunctional two handed danish axe. Butt is a hammer in squared bell shape(increasing the size as it goes since central tube to hammer end) then you add the crow bleak curved squared piramyd and surround it with conic/square base twisted base spikes alternated with like backs shark wing edges The crow bleak has saw-shark edges exiting from it alternating with flamberge sword edge form. On the blinks of hammer, and at middle of each side,an L shape spike (like terminator2 metal finger ) for penetration damage when you are hammering (or five or six depending of width lettings) of this spikes per side). The sides of the hammer has a line of shark-backs edges, (or triangle edges), a line of spikes (squared based or conic)below, and all-lenght half circle/bow shape edge(like an axe edge along the hammer wall). Borders/ side along corners has a trapezious form edge in diagonal. A fat ring is melted in the upper hammer floor for hooking the weapon or being tied it to a rope (in case the weapon falls far and you not reach it) The central tube of the weapon between axe edge and hammer is a spiked cilinder mace, with quarter moon like edges at sides) crowned by a some large spearhead of 4sides/edges with 1/2 lenght flamberge and 1/2saw teeth combination The flat side of the axe has first a descending line of shark-back edges followed by a vertical half-axe width edge with conic spikes along for not cleave enough to being strucked in a body, after a line of shark backs edges alterning with little holes like holy water scatterer for fulling them with flammable liquid, poison, acid or whatever. Then you do an axe edge normal at first 1/3part, flamberged at 2/3 part and triangled saw line at third. The upper and downner fat width ("los lomos" in spanish)of the weapon both hamner and axe, full of lines of shark edges, followed by conic spikes, and followed by triangle edges till only you would add one line because of the thickness approaching to edge. Where haft finds the head, at each side thete are a triangle edge pointing to diagonal down. And between them you add wusu-lance hairs for distract the enemy when moving and absorb the blood of axe head for not fall to haft and glid/slide falling from the hanging. The wusu lance hairs hide a mechanism that exits the axe head connected to a coiled chain with cutting borders or little spikes(or changing between both)hiden into the haft, turning the weapon into a axe flail you had already created. In some below middle along the haft, is hidden a sword, with crossed guard like "sai" ninja sword , exitable/expandible/developable by retractile, bisagre, or whatever. I said the sword goes "some below middle along the haft" because in the middle along goes a some flexible metal twisted long( more or less thin, depending of hardness )barr for absorbing impacts to the hand, (or you could do it hard enough to give more strenght to the hit, or the balance between both) Below the barr, next to the pommel, you hide a dagger into the haft, going out by "click" mechanism or twisting the pommel letting it exit out. The borders of pommel surrounded by little spikes in a ring, melted with an "hocino" edge at end of the haft for disarmings with his curve, and puncturing with the spike along going out at back of the curve. This is a lot of metal, realizing that is a two handed danish axe with bigger head than normal so you should use the best hardness/weight friendship. Even you could put an isolation circle form material between metal head and haft, and installing an electric discharge mechanism that only would affect to the weapon head, and/or only the metal parts (the electricity would flow from the head to the haft barr and then to the edged hocino pommel). And if you add cellular absorbing stacked to the guard near the crossedguard, could be charged and transmitted to the edge of the hidden sword. I repeat perhaps it is so much metal (so much weight) but if is the fact, you could use a lesser dense metal but still hard (titanium, "modern precission steel alloys" chromium, powdered high carbon alloy steels,aermet100,🔼 microlattice..the barr at slong haft perhaps with 1060/5060steel that it is said is the best for flexion of swords), and when forging you could mix damascus forging in layers then you twist it till forming a twisted barr , blend another time, and repeat damascus and twisting, And edge could be sharpened by lesser (not too much for not appearing "teeth marks" crushing the edge and still hard enough for crushing plate armor. Its a pity youtube had not a way for upload images or add to the writen comments. If you find a way (cause normal google not works me), I could send yo a draw with enough precission). Think it well, could me a monstruous weapon to show, this would give you more visits, popularity, and perhaps future business orders/ commandments (by weapon enthusiastics, LARP games, reenactment recreators companies, cosplayers, or even could it like to a videogame company and using it in his next videogame (medieval or for killing zombies or whatever). besides there is a guy called "irish mike" on youtube.(he has a main page) that do "special effects giantweapons" flammable, eyc...even I founded a guy that did the electric magnetic hammer of thor from comics "mjolnir". You could use the same type of mechanism (the guy even did it returnable)
