For cast net making videos, these are the Most informative, well narrated, good lighting so we can see, and good close videoing. My net is 24 inches in diameter so far, it takes time, but when it’s done it will be a net admired by other fishermen.

Your very right about much administration. You will have the best net on the water. Thank you for your kind words. I have tried to make it very user friendly so everyone has the chance to make their own and enjoy a well made handmade cast net. Thanks for watching and learning! 👍🏼

I’ve been going through your series and having a very hard time finding the thimble, swivel and net dip. I was able to 3D print a thimble and hopefully it will last a little while. I’ve decided to go with a 50/50 mix of mineral spirits and Helmsman spar urethane for the dip. I’ll just need to keep looking for the swivel, which I thought would be the easiest to find.

Amazon 5mm stainless steel swivels are available. They will not go through a 3/4” ID thimble and that is what you want. If your thimble ID is larger the 3/4”, you will need one that will not fall through or that net will become very frustrating to use.

Excellent set of video's. Thank you for all the explaining and attention to detail. I can not find the 5/8 or 3/4 brass thimble anywhere. I went to Sailrite and could not find them there. I wonder why they are so hard to find. I did find rigging thimbles on amazon. They are aircraft aluminum and the 3/4 is $65. Im not sure if that price is the same as the brass net thimbles.

@@mikemcpeak777 no, that price is way out of line. Normally you can find them for less the $5 each. I think there is a place in Washington state that is selling them now. Can’t remember the name of the place. I normally buy a bunch when I find someone selling them. And yes, for some reason Sailrite doesn’t seem to be carrying them now. Thanks for watching. Good luck.
