Great video Jay! So nice and shiny new. It’s good to see other folks doing it you can pick up new things. For instance I love the paint brush idea. Less mess that what I usually do. I’m gonna try it out for sure.

Nice clear vid. Been spinning chain here for fifty years, and a couple points if I might add... After aligning both sides of the master link together, I like to only slightly mushroom over the first rivet to hold the side plate in place without using much pressure, then go on to the second rivet and make a completed mashed head, then go back and complete the first rivet. It can get weird if you complete the first rivet and the side plate has popped off the one you haven't done yet. I think I have seen A to Z on everything that can go wrong spinning chain. Unless things have changed since I purchased my spinner way back when, smaller chains like .250 or 3/8 lo-pro spin best with an anvil designed for the smaller rivets. I think most spinners have the different anvils interchangeable. The larger anvil works ok on the smaller studs, but being for bigger diameter rivets it can easily scar up the side plate if you mushroom the head so much (no biggie). It's not hard to spin a rivet so much that the link locks up. It will loosen up in the saw running if you want to go that route, but if you take a minus screwdriver snd stick it in between the plates of the master link and give it a whack, it can spread the thing a tiny bit and free up the too tight link.

@@jaythe306snowmexican That's not for me Jay. I quit chasing money 6 years ago after 43 years in a paper mill. I spend my time do for me. I could make leather working a 7 day a week job, but I won't let it happen.

Nice quality tools but typical Stihl. I can't buy one from dealers in my area without buying some chain and tooling "package". Stihl could boost sales by 1000% if they got smart and took back some of the copy cat business.

Our local FD just got one of those breakers, they are useless. The aluminum perch is a terrible design. The chain doesn't sit in it properly.
