Making Chow Chow the Old Fashioned Way and Garden Veggies

Well it is the old fashioned way…but it’s also the only way we make it!

It’s a multi-day process and you’ll need a clean pillow case. It’s a lot of effort and work but so worth it!!

That garden is a thing of beauty, Dixie! So rewarding to look down those long rows and know it's going to feed you, your husband, and any family or company that comes. I look forward to all this season's canning videos. It'd take the patience of Job chopping all those veggies. Food processors are fast, but man they are a mess!

​@GrannyWomen hi, could you please give me a quick rundown on how you process your squash? Pressure can or wb and how many minutes? Sometimes these standard rules have you processing so much longer than necessary and I trust your tried and true methods!

That's a mighty fine lookin garden! I've always been really picky with vegetables (unfortunately, I wish I loved them all) so if I had room for a garden it'd be all taters and beans!

can i ask what are October beans? im in Australia and have never heard of them.

They are like pinto beans but they are plumper and make a thicker sweet juice in the beans. Our favorite.
