Very ingenious !!! Bravo !!! Just one simple improvement to be made: to cut boards of various thickness, replace the 4 screws on the sliding rails with 4 butterfly bolts and nuts.

Yo no haría esa guía de madera..pues con el tiempo se gastará la madera y los cortes no serás exactos..sería bueno de aluminio o de perfil de fierro..se gastarán en mucho tiempo.. saludos desde Chihuahua Chihuahua

cool one, Id combine it with another, the way top slider is solid piece with one clean cut(for clearance) and is connected on 4 short arms with movable joints on sides like animal. You lift it, put a wood for cutting under it and push the slider part towards u, so it looks like laying dog and the weight of slider part holds wood pinched on place, clean cut

In your videos you should state at the beginning of the video what other tools & jigs you are using that you created earlier. I notice this crosscut jig is used in so many other videos. You should reference the jigs you use at the beginning of the video and then give a link to those videos so a person can create them first if they wanted to follow along. Maybe even put your playlist in order from a jig that can be built without any other jigs to last one being the creation you made that depended on the Most jigs that you created.

I think the platten the saw slides on should be the full width so as to provide zero clearance, or maybe you use a 3mm piece of sheetgoods to provide the zero clearance, but be removable for bevels. I also think the platten should sit on the workpiece of whatever thickness, again for the zero clearance. For the fence, I would prefer dog holes at positions for critical angles, 30, 45 and 60 degrees perhaps, and the fence could engage in them with built-in bench dogs.
Be very careful with this design and many others similar to it. A handheld circular saw is designed to be in contact with the workpiece so there no gap for the blade to yank the workpiece up into if binding occurred. This design has a fixed amount of space between the base and the rails so there’s always a problem gap unless the jig was made for only one type of board. Just be careful with your support hand holding the workpiece down. If the blade binds and lifts the workpiece, fingers are at risk of pinching or worse.

Nice video. I have a question: Is it useful or overkill to have 2 circular saws, on with a special blade for ripping and one with a special blade for crosscutting, because i don't like swapping blades, making the circular saw screw dull. Hope to hear from you soon. Many thanks in advance

This does not work for me. I started to make it but the inside of the track is a bit wide and it abuts the blade so there is a space of almost an eighth of an inch I am using one by twos doe the track. This the foot of the saw will not fit snugky on the track and it will have slop

Replay the video, stop on the times when you see his measurements. I've watched this video three or four times, I've altered his design to suit myself. You can do the same thing. Even if there Were blueprints, he'd be selling them... would you buy them or would you expect them for free? Also, you don't need him to tell you everything... where's your own creativity?
