Hi I’m a nail tech and I just wanna quickly say be careful when using the acrylic tip method because you can become allergic to acrylic from having it touching the skin and you can develop contact dermatitis which is super painful! The colours came out beautiful ❤️

Yeah, you can also develop it from gel too. I've seen techs wipe the sides of the nails with their finger after applying gel topcoat, to keep it from bulking up the sides and then become allergic from doing that so often. That's why I don't take my gloves off until after I'm done with s client. Even wear gloves when doing my own nails. Just cut the finger tip part off of the hand I'm currently working on. That way my hands are protected when I use my finger to wipe the gel from sides, or to cut the acrylic off the tip when I've got excess acrylic at the tip during application.

Also a nail tech. Contact dermatitis is not specifically from acrylic. It can be from almost anything that touches your skin.

I really liked the "Wild Card" one, and I do think your on to something with the holo glitter & acrylic. And I know I have said it before, however I feel that what makes you one of the best stand-out nail art KZbinr is your willingness to try new things & methods on camera. That way it shows if it worked or not & gives people who like you are doing their own nails at home some examples of what not to do, that way those of us on a budget do not waste product on something that is shown not to work. Last but not least this is the 1 and only give away that I think everyone can have a chance at. Not sure about everyone, but I am not tech smart, & on most you have to click a link, share on Twitter, copy & paste to Facebook, etc. As always keep up the great work, and never seen a video I didn't like.

I have never had extensions of any kind (mainly because I can't have long nails due to my profession), I just do regular old polish on regular old natural nails, but I love watching other people do extensions. Loved how this video was a mash up of lots of stuff!!! So humble of you to be as thankful as you were over the efile 🙂 I did see a comment of one person once saying that Kiara Sky provided that little bit to not let dust in the hand piece because it’s an error they did but that they try to make it seem like they’re being innovative by adding that dust protector bit that goes under the efile bit you insert into the hand piece. Idk. Other efiles I’ve had don’t have a wide opening where the bit gets placed into like the kiara sky. Otherwise a great efile!! It’s so cute. Quiet. Portable. Cute af aesthetic. The design team at KS know what they’re doin!!

With acrylic , I think your beads gotta be bigger bc it looks like it’s watery when you apply it, like the monomer on the brush didn’t soak up in the acrylic enough if that makes sense.💖

I have those clear rhinestones also! I got them from my nail supply store and I literally said the exact same thing! They are the prettiest rhinestones I’ve ever seen!! And I’ve been buying my nail stuff from craft stores since I started, and actually have found stuff like flat back pearls that I still haven’t found at the actual nail supply store….and yeah the resin art aisle is amazing for stuff like silicone pushers and molds for gummy bears/gemstone shapes, etc. I’ve even made my own pallets for nail art with resin kits from craft stores. I have a mini palette I wear on my finger as a ring while doing my nails. I could go on and on! Lol. It’s so much cheaper and so fun! The possibilities are endless! Oh! Also, I made a charcoal, smokey like jelly acrylic with black holo glitters!! It is so pretty, and I got all my glitters from craft stores. And some from even like, Walmart! Also, I watched a young nails video on making custom colors, glitters and acrylics…and learned the best nugget of useful info I’ve learned so far: WHEN MAKING CUSTOM ACRYLICS USING GLITTERS AND/OR GLITTERS YOU NEED TO USE A 1:3 RATIO! SO USING ONE PART GLITTER TO THREE PARTS ACRYLIC! So, if you’re putting or using a tablespoon of acrylic at a time, do three tablespoons of acrylic for every one tablespoon of glitter/powder/pigments etc. Your ratio will be the perfect ratio and consistency to be able to actually use the acrylic properly and stil get the full effect/results you’re wanting!! I’ve tested this method myself and it’s dead I every time. There’s enough acrylic to be strong and cohesive, it performs as if I bought it that way and didn’t just make it myself. Also the glitters and pigments are more than “pigmented” enough, they show up and they always look beautiful!! It’s also nice knowing how much to put, it makes it easy and a lot less stressful because you’re not guessing at how it’s going to come out! @emilysusanah

I've been putting gel tips on with acrylic for quite a while now. In my opinion, it's the best way to do it. You have time to adjust and make sure it's perfectly straight before it cures and you can clean up whatever spurts out on the sides/underneath much more cleanly if you wait for the acrylic to start curing and get a little gummy before doing so. I can't even tell you how many times I cured on nails crooked accidentally when using gel before I decided to try it with acrylic. Glad to see other people catching on too! :) I did want to mention to you, Emily, that it might've been a lot easier to use Femi Beauty's lazy girl method, putting the acrylic in the tip first then finishing off with a small bead of clear acrylic (or even the same colored acrylic, doesn't matter) on the nailbed area behind a thin layer of the colored acrylic and then applying it to your nail. Seems like they turned out well either way, but perhaps helpful if you decide to try that method out again :)

Suzi also mentioned the technique with acrylic and full cover tips. For putting on clear ons and decorating afterwards i wont really go for it but you can paint and design tips with things you usually might struggle with (especially on the non dominant hand) and attach them with acrylic because acrylic is air-drying and you donˋt need to get light through it to harden.

I've used acrylic to apply press on nails for years. I put enough acrylic on the press on nail that a bit squishes out the free edge of my natural nail that I can spread it across the under side of the nail so that it has a thin layer on the free edge of the press on to help give it strength so that they last a lot longer. 😁 Had the idea many years ago wanting to use up my cheap Kiss Acrylic kits and wanting the pretty gel press ons to last longer without bending and/or cracking. I'm not on social media doing nails though so not many people know about it. Lol
