Glad to have you back postings. As you were welding the 'extension" I was thinking, "how is it he never burns through like I do all the time?" and just then YOU burned through. Your ARE human! Your explanation on how you will correct the situation is very helpful. I usually just go back and try to fill the hole and continue on welding as I had been when I burned through. Thank you for the explanation of a "SCAN". I have been getting them for quite some time now and never knew it.

😀👍A good little trick when you've burned a hole and you are struggling to close it - back it with a piece of copper or aluminum and then weld it up. It helps to absorb some of the heat, and the welding does not stick to it

Hey Div, I love the look of that little Renault sedan. Now with the low stance, the wide tires and the fender work, it has a bit of a rally car flair. Div, do take it easy with your recovery. The SCANS are a must for some of us ! The work will still be there waiting when we get back to it.
