Love ya work mate. Good to see another aussie on here. Keep it up. I have the Festool Domino 500 and have been debating with myself whether I should get the XL. Just watching this video helps make that decision easier. Getting one!!! Thanks and keep up the great videos mate.

thanks Chris appreciate the feedback. The big domino is definitely worth having if you're going to do big stuff like doors and tables. Having both is awesome because using the big guy with adaptors on smaller stuff is too awkward

Thumbs up good video, though would have liked an explanation of the steps you were taking with the table saw to prep for the raised panel router bit, like how you work out depths to cut etc.

There's no working out with me, it's a matter of cut, test, cut more test and so on. Most of my videos are not tutorials, I'm doing a job for a customer who is paying me by the hour so I can't stop constantly to explain things. Unlike most youtubers where the product is the video my product is the product and the video is a side note.

@@OneManBandWoodworks Wow thanks for the quick reply. OK getting what you're saying, just finishing making a squatters chair with no accurate plan, and made a lot of sawdust with tests.

can conventional mortise n tenon be completely replaced by Festool Dominos method without compromising STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY of DOORS.
@OneManBandWoodworks4 жыл бұрын
as long as you can make big enough tenons with enough material glue surface are then yes because most times a floating tenon is stronger than an integral tenon

Fecking hate it how easy you make that look 🤣

when you're using the raised panel bit, make sure that the router is at its slowest speed
@OneManBandWoodworks4 жыл бұрын
Yep it was that's why the cut was so rough

Mate your builds are top shelf, have you got any spare Domino joiners for sale ? Lol, they look the ultimate Joinery machine. I enjoy your Projects & isn't shed time great hey, alright looking forward to part 2 👍👍👍, team Bosch chop saw

I dreamed of having a domino for a decade then in the last few months I bought both, just the right doors opening at the right time. The Bosch is a great saw until you use the Kapex...
@sumosprojects7 жыл бұрын
One Man Band Woodworks agreed with Festool machines but the Bosch is revolutionary with the space saving element mate, hey you used that half half line from a movie right 😂 Prost 🍻
