Good grief! Can you do anything right? Can't sew without jiggling the camera, can't fold a piece of paper the right way and now you are getting the wrong kind of dog! There's no wonder there is such a problem with bullying in schools when adults stoop to such tactics. You are such a joy to watch, you put me in a better mood every time I watch you. I'm sure you won't, but for the rest of our sakes, please don't change. Ignore the naysayers, they don't deserve even a passing thought.

I am so sorry some people are making complaints about where, how, and why you got your puppy. I wish people would just mind their own business. It is so unkind of them to act out at you with their agenda and protests. You have my heart and compassion today. You are such a wonderful person...caring, compassionate, helpful, funny...you sure don't deserve any negative reactions, not about the pup, not about camera jiggles. Loving this journal so much. Pulled out my papers yesterday and organized some Christmas stuff. Hope to start the journal soon.

Dearest Gayle, my friend and pal ~ never ever let anyone steal your sparkle or joy. Never ever justify your decisions to those that don’t have any say in your life Never give anyone the satisfaction of bringing you to tears. I know the tears were from being hurt, and also from having to stand up for yourself, because like me, it’s hard for you to do, even at our age (we are the same age!). Always know that the majority of us are grateful for all you do, share with us, and your beautiful soul The recent events with the FTC have put everyone on YT on edge. That, and other things going on in life, add up. I hope you had a super week babysitting the grandgirls and visiting with Eve. I wish I could have been there with the two of you because I’m sure it was a well deserved respite for you! Hugs, girlfriend. Love 💕 you. Hugs from VA. 🤗.

Let the lady have the dog she wants! After doing due diligence all her life and giving shelter animals a "forever" home, she and her husband are entitled to have a specific animal that will suit their specific needs. This breed is so attached to their owners that it's perfect for seniors. No running away while the owners chase it down means less problems all the way around. They and the dog will all be very happy and they ALL deserve it. I've warmed up to this lady and her passion for the paper arts, don't make me have to spank anyone for abusing her! LOL

Gayle I laugh with you and I cry with you. This week has sure been a roller coaster of emotions. I was so happy to hear you found the perfect pup for you and Mr. A! It upset so much to read the comments and then hear the pain in your voice from people who do not think before they speak. Maybe they do think but is it from their heart or their need to make themselves appear to be better humans than we "common" folk. I have had many rescued animals myself, some have been from shelters, some have been strays, some from people that could not keep them anymore, and even had one dog I rescued from a breeder. They were going to put down a pup just because it was deaf! He was a beautiful Boston Terrier. They said it had no value, boy were they ever wrong! My Gizmo was one of the smartest dogs I have ever owned, he learned commands by sign language! He was also the best guard dog ever, he may not hear but his sense of vibration would pick up anyone outside on our porch! All dogs have merit, no matter where they come from. As far as only adopting rescues, that is a good thing but it also has drawbacks such as not knowing his family health issues or behavior problems. If we adopt all the animals the shelters have, and all of them are spayed or neutered, then as a breed/species they will die out! Common sense says some have to breed to keep the population alive. I love your heart Gayle, you do tend to wear it on your sleeve like me. Don't change to make a few Negative Nellies feel vindicated. The only one you have to answer to is yourself and with the man upstairs, as far as I can see that looks like a shoe in! Mistakes, shakey cam, etc is all real life and I appreciate seeing a "real" person not a scripted/edited version of one. I am writing a novel here again, guess I am making up for not commenting daily LOL, I do watch all of your adventures and love them. I will watch you collage all day LOL it is relaxing for me and sometimes I do my own crafts but usually I am truely giving you all of my attention! I cannot wait to see lil Mr. Jimmy Joe make his debut and watch him grow before all of our eyes!

Every puppy needs a good loving home ! Conscientious breeders need all the support we can give them, as well as shelters. A good breeder goes above and beyond to raise healthy dogs and to place them in loving forever homes. They are not, and never have been the puppy mills that are the terror of the pet world !! It is a shame that people do not bother to educate themselves, and then would have the nerve to attack you for your choice to provide a loving home to a magnificent dog from a respectable breeder. Enjoy that puppy and know that you are doing your part to encourage the continuance of a wonderful breed :)

Gayle - WOW!! I'm blown away once again by your character. You shared with us the news and excitement of getting the puppy, calmly explained your and your husbands reasoning behind it (which you shouldn't have to defend in the first place), and you put your foot down in a wonderfully self-respecting and humble way. This might not hold a lot of weight coming from a random subbie (at least we met and hugged once!) but I am really proud of you for being firm and standing up for yourself. Lovely ephemera and journal. Really, really lovely. Also, congrats on your new puppy. And wow, the gall of some people to tell you where you should get your dog from. Every animal I've ever had has either been a rescue or an animal that somebody literally dumped on me. We happily took them all in. However, I have many friends who have pure bred dogs, and gosh darn it, it never once occurred to me to chide them for it. Never even entered my mind. All I could think was, awesome, they have a new furry friend. One of our dogs is part St. Bernard and his personality and his interactions with our grandkids has been so phenomenal, that we're considering getting a full blood St. Bernard from a breeder. I've never had an animal that is as gentle with my grandkids as this dog has been. There is more than one reason to get a dog other than just to open your home to an animal who needs it. There are also your needs to consider, too. And if your needs lead you to BMD, then so be it. (My nephew was allergic to every dog under the son, except for a Labradoodle, so that's what his parents got him.) So sorry you got flack for it. Anyway, again, this project is truly stunning. XX

Good morning Gayle. ❤ I made spine templares from 1/2" to 3 1/2" comes in very handy. 😊 You know your choice is your choice. You shouldn't have to explain your choices to anyone. You are not responsible for the dogs and cats in shelters. The people who put them out on the streets are responsible. I know there are the ones who can't care for them anymore but people should not judge. People don't care if they hurt other people with their words 😢. Lots of love and hugs coming your way. 💕💕

A dog that is going to a home that will live his entire life with you is a dog who isn't going to a shelter. You choose the best fit for you and your family ❤️! I do adopt shelter dogs but my 🐕 I have now was an " on the way to the shelter dog". We cannot minimize the fact that your dog will not be a shelter dog. Please enjoy your dog and all your life choices. You show us and teach us so much that WE need to be grateful. If there is a channel that I don’t like, I simply don’t watch it. The critical people could buy you a new table, tripod, camera and sewing machine if it bothers them that much. Arrrgh! Actually, I have never learned so much from a crafter on KZbin. The idea that you just turn on your camera and ALLOW us to watch is amazing. Thank you.

It really chaps my hide that anyone would bully you on anything. Your the most kind and loving soul! We’ve done both rescues and breeders we love all of them. In the end it matters not where they come from just that they have amazing homes. Your little Jimmy will be loved beyond measure! Hugs dear one. 🤗❤️

I am so tired of all the judgmental, self righteous people who don’t know when to keep their thoughts to themselves!!! Shake the table how ya want!! Fold the paper how ya want!! Get the dog that ya want!! You are such a sweet, good hearted lady and I’ll sit here like I do every day and watch you do all those things. I love your spirit. Keep doing you, Gayle.

I think it is wonderful that you and your hubby have decided to do something together by getting a puppy. You both obviously put a lot of thought into what type of dog that would best fit into your lives. I think that is very smart of you both. You'll have years of happiness. Don't let those people get you down.

I got my Doxie from a Breeder and was told by a few people I paid to much. My family for years always adopted or was given a dog. We called my dad Dr. Doolittle. My little mini Doxie is what I wanted and she is the best, so good with the grand babies too. Today my grand-daughter who will be three next month was looking at very very old dictionary with her dad; (my son) and said the paper was coffee paper, she loves my coffee dye paper, I let her glue the scraps on her pages in her junk journal binder. 👍 on this video, enjoying it very much. 🍁🍁🍁

Gayle, I think it is so kind of you and Mr. A. to adopt this dog and give it a loving home. I wish I was a Burnese mountain dog named Jimmy Joe - lucky dog. I am behind in viewing your videos because I am actually trying to do what you are teaching in this folio journal series. I am much slower to get things done than you. But, I am almost finished, and I will have a lovely gift to give to a friend- thanks to you. So, thank you!

Gayle the folio is gorgeous!!! I also love that you share your life with us,that is huge. Why do people have to open their big mouth and crush your joy about getting this puppy,if they are paying for it then they have a say in the matter but they are not paying so zip it. Puppy Jimmy is going to be the happiest puppy ever with his loving parents. Gayle you have a heart of gold and I love you for that. Every morning I get up and have my coffee and my Gayle and Diane fix. Big hugs my friend 💕💕 Joan from Canada.

No one has the right to tell you anything about your own personal decisions Gayle. You are entitled to make any decision in your life that is BEST for you and your family. People that comment with negativity are stepping into your boundaries. They are not entitled to do that. If they are just suggesting Great....otherwise comments that hurt feelings or try to make someone feel guilty are not warranted. Keep getting excited about that lil guy coming to live with you soon. He will bring a world of happiness to you all. BTW...love the comment...”Back Off”. Thanks for sharing your wonderful talent and your personal life with us all. I feel I have known you my whole life. Gayle, there is nothing wrong with your decision to get the kind of breed that you and your husband like. I would not listen to the ones that would try to make you feel bad. Its your decision! We adopted a shelter doggy back in 2011, she was not quite a puppy but a lovely 4 yr old doggy. She was big. And very lovable. She was our guard dog, our furry friend, and furry kid. :) She was truly a good dog. Sadly, this year we lost her due to a terrible sickness, we did everything we knew to do, and went by what the vet suggested us to do for her. She will always be in our hearts forever. Do be encouraged. Your videos are very wonderful to watch during the late night hours, and quite frankly during the day as well. Keep up the good work!
