I think you can sharpen your punches going thru a few layers of aluminum foil

Great video Gayle! Here's a little tip when using those punches on thinner paper - place another scrap of cardstock with the paper you're punching and it will punch both nice and neat!

Hi, another great project! Sharpen your punch with aluminium foil, or very fine wet and dry sand paper, then punch through wax paper a few times to lubricate the punch!

Just a thought to corral those tiny little jingle bells…if you have one of those tiny little crafting ziplock bags you could put them in it and then put the bag back in with all the ephemera. I loved these little folder portfolios!

Love these little folders. Can't wait to do some!! I have been absent since Feb. 2nd when I had carpal-tunnel surgery. Then on Feb. 8th I fell and broke my leg real seriously so have been in the hospital for surgery, weeks in rehab facility and now at home and with one arm and one leg, a person is unable to do much of anything including bathroom duties for themselves. It will be another few weeks before I can try to walk so please pray that I will be able to. Also, going crazy not able to craft. Love you, Gayle and have missed your voice and your ideas. Keep doing what you are doing. We need your inspiration. Hugs to you!!!!

What a beautiful day we had yesterday and actually fished, and had a cool but outside evening get together. My nephew taught some young fishermen how to filet a fish. Teach a man (woman) to fish and they never go hungry, popped in my head 🎣 😊

Blessed glorious Sunday Gayle & your hubby too! These are a very nice idea specially as a little gift with a gift card inside thank you for sharing this my friend. I’m sure someone has already suggested this as to the dull punch issue, don’t ask me where I saw this trick cause I don’t remember. Last resort! Wrap pieceof foil around a piece of paper and punch it, or if your punch has space, punch a piece of lowest grid sandpaper. This method has worked for me in the past with punches and scissors.*Note: I would never do this with my very expensive scissors for fear I would damage the blades, I take them to a professional. Gail, as I was watching I thought "I better make a pattern of this so I don't forget the concept". So I grabbed my glue book and ripped a page up. Folded it as directed. Inked the edges so my old eyes would focus on where I folded. When I laid it on the table to be put into my pattern notebook I discovered it makes a great background for this project! Just decorate and TADA! Awesome little notebook! Just thought I'd share the bookpage idea. 😊 TFS Hope you have a great day. 🌞

Nice little portfolios, Gayle! Really like them! My hubby and I have been very busy. We are getting ready for a trip down south this next week. We'll be gone for about 3 weeks. I've been doing lots of canning meals & dehydrating snacks so we will eat healthier and not out so much. It should be a nice time. I'm really looking forward to it. It's hard to believe it's Easter this coming Sunday or even that's it's already April. It's definitely April Shower time as our weather showed us today in Pennsylvania.
