That was so much fun going through all the ephemera! I made some notes and time stamp on the video so I can refer back to things I want to make. I have one idea book that is only Cori Dahmen ideas. I have one more that has other ideas in it. They’re so much fun. I like your idea of making 3 so there is one in the finished ephemera box. I’m going to start doing that! Oh Gayle you warmed my heart. The journal you showed in the beginning was my first one made after finding you on KZbin. That was before I changed my name to triple v. Idea journaling is so useful! I had no idea how easy it is to find ephemera or page ideas you want to replicate for your current projects. That is a very good idea. There are other crafts that can be made into idea journals for that craft too. Ty for the help and the inspiration. This is exactly what I needed today. ❤❤❤❤❤

Good morning Gayle!! Loved looking back through all the great ideas. My first idea book was a journal I bought that was poorly made and very loose signatures. I started writing ideas with measurements as I watched videos. My second idea journal I made and put samples of ideas in that I saw on videos. Thanks for sharing yours with us!! This is an inspirational video! I love the idea books, and making 3 of one item : 1 each for the book, to use in a current journal and also in a box of finished ephemera. Starting from ground zero here, so lots to do and make. So many beautiful papers used, too! I've seen so many beautiful digital downloads but many people have no way to print. Would love to see some offerings of printed digitals in different Etsy shops. TFS these great ideas!

That was a fun trip down memory lane. Especially in book two there were lots of ideas that came from the very first happy mail I sent you, back when you accepted happy mail. So many of the things I remember you getting or recreating. Loved seeing all the ideas. I really enjoyed this video - got some good ideas too! It may be nice for you to do a series on ideas next year. You have enough for each week but once every few weeks or once a month would be great. A lot of newbies out there and a few oldies that need to remember things! I myself have an 8 x8 black page book (very cheap) that I put mine in. I note the maker and the video I got it off and any particular page requirements and instructions on the page.

How many pages do you use for the journal ans do you also use cartstock in them?

In general, I do 15 or so pages in a one signature journal. I sometimes use card stock in a signature, but not often when making a one signature journal. ❤

I hope this doesn't boggle your mind with my request! In the past couple of weeks, you showed a piece made with paper of square red and green. It had a flap on the top that came down over pockets and had a medallion die cut to hold the flap down. I think I remember you making it last year around Christmas. I would like to see how you made it again. Thank you. I love your videos!
