I don't think I fully grasped the meaning of 'tranquility' until I found this channel. So many elements; Erik's voice, the sounds of the rain and nature, the almost ritualistic process of collecting the material for the fire. the satisfaction of the slow progression from smoke and tiny flame to warming fire, and finally the coffee making and enjoyment of it. All of these elements assemble together to create such a serene tranquility. Wonderful to experience on a nice Sunday morning. thank you, Erik.

0:23 - Spruce. "Pine" is a word, often used in place of "evergreen" like as was used here, but it's actually a spruce stump. He's in a stand of spruce so a pine would be out of place here, but the remaining trunk appearance is enough to tell, as well as the wood type when he splits it. It splits and slivers off a little differently from pine as well.
